Signing in to the CMS: two-factor by email
In short: Eventira’s CMS uses two-factor authentication by email. When you sign in, a six-digit code arrives at your address and you enter it to finish. There’s no authenticator app to install and nothing to configure.
Signing in
-
Enter your email and password
Sign in as normal at the Eventira CMS.
-
Check your inbox for the six-digit code
Eventira emails a one-time code to the address on your account. It usually arrives within a few seconds.
-
Enter the code
Type it in to finish signing in. The code is single-use: a new one is issued each time, and an old code won’t work twice.
If the code doesn’t arrive
- Check your spam or junk folder. Automated sign-in emails land there more often than you’d expect, especially on a first sign-in.
- If your organisation filters mail, ask IT to allow email from Eventira so codes aren’t quarantined. Worth doing once, before a live event, rather than at 8am on the day.
- Request a new code rather than reusing an older email. Only the most recent code is valid.
- Confirm you’re checking the address your account actually uses, not a forwarding alias.
Your email account is the key to your Eventira account. Because codes arrive by email, anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you. Put strong protection on the mailbox itself, and don’t share a team inbox for CMS access when the people using it should have their own logins. See Invite your team & set roles.
This page is about the CMS, the side your team works in. Attendees sign in separately, with the same six-digit email code but a different set of rules about when they’re asked. See How attendees sign in.
Before an event: have everyone who’ll be working the CMS on the day sign in once, a week ahead. It surfaces blocked emails and wrong addresses while there’s still time to fix them.
